Small Group Instrument Tuition

Small Group Instrument Tuition is currently running in 16 centres in County Wicklow as either in school or out of school music groups. This program provides music tuition on a range of instruments and voice across different music genres to students in small groups and enables children and young people to become competent at playing an instrument, music reading and performance.

It differs from the Foundation Music and Choral Music strands as it is not delivered on a classroom basis.  Tuition by agreement of the school will be delivered either by allowing students to attend the additional instrumental classes during the school day or after school on school premises. We also deliver this programme in community settings. There are currently in excess of 360 young people availing of this opportunity. The lessons are delivered by Music Generation Wicklow’s specialist music educator team in bass guitar, cello, flute, guitar, keyboard, percussion,  piano, traditional instruments, violin, voice and composition.
