The Sounds of Summer: Music Generation Wicklow Rocks Kaleidoscope 2026!
On the weekend of July 4th and 5th, the Music Generation Wicklow stage at Russborough House came alive for the annual Kaleidoscope Festival, and what an incredible two days of live music it was!
The festival weekend is always a highlight of our summer calendar, giving our young musicians the opportunity to experience the thrill of performing at a major national festival. This year, the crowds were absolutely fantastic, and our student ensembles certainly did not disappoint.
Showstopping Performances Our young bands and ensembles took to the stage with immense confidence, delivering sets that genuinely wowed the festival audiences. Soundcrowd Youth Choir, Music Under The Mountains Senior Group and Rithim Trad Orchestra represented Music Generation Wicklows youth ensembles while local bands such as The Frontmen (Music Generation Kildare) and Scal showed us the future of Rock is in safe hands! The sheer talent and energy on display were a testament to the hard work these young musicians put in throughout the year.
The Power of Live Performance For many of our students, taking the stage at Russborough House was a milestone moment. Playing through a professional PA system to a packed, supportive crowd is exactly what we are all about, giving young people the platform to bring their own musical voices to the wider community.
A massive thank you to all the parents, families, and festival-goers who stopped by to cheer on the next generation of Wicklow musicians. The atmosphere was electric all weekend!
